The place that proves that dinner and dancing do mix. California offers you pizza, pasta, sandwiches, hamburgers and mouth-watering entrées such as potatoes, chorizo, mussels and fennel broth. Hamburgers are, by far, the favorite (as it is the house specialty). After a fulfilling dinner, you can go straight to the dancing part. It transforms into a disco at 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. (Fridays and Saturdays). It is when highly popular DJs play the newest hits.
California was once the trendiest bar. It is where you go when you want to rub elbows with the nouveaux riche. Newer establishments have since wrested this image from California, but this does not in anyway stop it from being a highly sophisticated and respected establishment. In fact, it is packed on most days. California opens daily – Sundays (from 6 p.m. to midnight), Mondays to Thursdays (from noon to midnight), Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 4 a.m.
