Changi Village is a nice break from Singapore's city life. Changi Village still retains the traditional village atmosphere. Although the kampong houses have long gone, you still have that feeling of stepping back into time and enjoying a welcome respite from the stress and hassle that is sometimes connected with city life. Here, the forest are thick and virtually untouched. It also has an almost deserted beach, if you crave for some tranquility and privacy.

En route to Changi Village, you will pass by the Changi Prison, with the Changi Chapel and Museum. At the museum, you will find a miniature of the chapel where World War II Allied prisoners served. There are also notes and memorabilia from that significant part of history.
