About Club 97

This is one of Lan Kwai Fong’s mainstays, as it has been there for over 20 years. Since then it has metamorphosed and transformed itself to suit its clientele’s changing needs. The foreboding entrance has been changed to an open-fronted façade. It has also transformed itself from a disco into a lounge. This means it is less into disco dancing and more into offering pre-dinner cocktails or late-night drinks. If you want to dance, though, feel free, as there is still a small dance floor to accommodate you. Club 97 is home to a mixed group of gays and straights. Grand drag shows are featured in the Friday gay happy hours. Reggae music fills the air on Sunday.

Club 97 is still a happening place, and a must-visit if you are exploring pubs and bars in the Lan Kwai Fong area. Club 97 is open daily – Mondays to Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., Fridays from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m., Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Sundays from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Happy Hour schedules are also varied. Happy hour on Mondays to Thursdays and on Saturdays is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; 7 to 9 p.m. on Fridays; and 8 to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
